Extreme Measures 특단의 대책

From the time God’s first image-bearers—Adam and Eve—wandered off in sin, He lamented the loss of fellowship with His people. He went to great lengths to restore the relationship by sending His one and only Son “to seek and to save the lost”(Luke 19:10). Without the birth of Jesus, and without His willingness to die to pay the price for our sin and to bring us to God, we would have nothing to celebrate at Christmastime.


하나님의 형상을 지닌 첫 존재들인 아담과 하와가 죄를 지어 방황하게 되었을 때, 하나님은 자기 백성과 교제할 수 없게 된 것을 슬퍼하셨습니다. 하나님은 “잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려”(눅 19:10) 그분의 하나뿐인 아들을 보내면서까지 그 관계를 회복시키기 위해 무엇이든 하셨습니다. 예수님의 탄생과 우리의 죄 값을 치르고 우리를 하나님께로 이끄시기 위해 기꺼이 돌아가신 주님의 희생이 없었다면 우리에게 크리스마스 절기에 기념할 것은 아무것도 없었을 것입니다.
