Playing The Fool 바보짓을 하다

성경은 “하나님은 교만한 자를 물리치시고 겸손한 자에게 은혜를 주신다” (야고보서 4:6)고 말합니다. 하나님은 겸손한 자에게 은혜를 부어주십니다. 하나님은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “나는 겸손한 마음으로 크게 뉘우치며 내 말을 두렵게 여기는 자에게 은혜를 베푼다”(이사야 66:2, 현대인의 성경). 우리가 하나님 앞에서 겸손할 때 그분이 우리를 높여주십니다(야고보서 4:10).

창피함과 부끄러움은 하나님께서 우리를 다시 빚으시도록 우리를 그분께로 이끌어줄 수 있습니다. 우리가 넘어지면, 그분의 손 안으로 넘어진 것입니다.


The Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble” (James 4:6). He showers the humble with grace. God Himself said, “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word” (Isaiah 66:2). As we humble ourselves before God, He lifts us up (James 4:10).

Humiliation and shame can bring us to God for His shaping. When we fall, we have fallen into His hands.-DAVID H. ROPER
