Talking Bananas 말하는 바나나

바나바는 사람들에게 자신감을 부여하는 능력이 있는 사람으로 유명했습니다. 믿음과 성령이 충만한 선한 사람으로 알려져 있던 그는 새로운 신자들에게 “굳건한 마음으로 주와 함께 머물러 있으라”(사도행전 11:23)고 권고했습니다. 나는 그가 돕고 싶은 사람들과 함께 있을 때 이런 말을 하지 않았을까 상상해 봅니다. ‘계속 기도하십시오. 주님을 신뢰하십시오. 삶이 힘들 때 하나님과 가까이하십시오.’


Barnabas was famous for his ability to inspire people. Known as a good man, full of faith and the Holy Spirit, he prompted the new believers to “remain true to the Lord with all their hearts” ( v. 23). I imagine he spent time with those he wanted to help, saying things like: Keep praying. Trust the Lord. Stay close to God when life is hard.

Heavenly Father, give me someone to encourage today. Show me what to say and how to meet this person’s needs so that You’ll be glorified.


하늘에 계신 아버지, 오늘 저에게 격려가 필요한 사람을 보내주소서. 제가 무엇을 말하고 어떻게 그 사람의 필요를 채울지를 보여주셔서 하나님께 영광이 되게 하소서.
