믿음을 뜻하는 3가지 헬라어

 믿음은 과정을 생략하고 기적과 복을 단번에 얻으려는 기복주의가 아니다. 기독교 믿음을 오해해서 일확천금의 기적을 노리며 살지 말라. 믿음이 무엇인가? 헬라어에는 믿음을 뜻하는 3가지 단어가 있다. 1. 피스토스(πιστος)  ‘피스토스(πιστος)’란 ‘염려하는 감정을 버리고 의지적으로 기뻐하는 힘’을 뜻한다. 본문 22절에서 예수님은 “너희 목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까 몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까 염려하지 말라.”고 하셨다. 신앙생활에서 죄가 아닌 것 같지만 죄가 있다. 그것은 염려다. 염려는 불신의 결과로 생긴다. 결국 믿음이란 염려하지 않는 것이다. 왜 염려하지 말아야 하는가? 들풀도 입혀주시는 하나님께서 들풀보다 귀한 성도를 지켜주실 것이기 때문이다(눅 12:28절). 또한 사랑하시는 하나님이 우리의 필요를 잘 아시기 때문이다(눅 12:29-30절).  염려는 습관적이고 감정적인 것이다. 피스토스의 믿음은 감정대로 살지 않는 것이다. 힘들 때 감정과 기분과 환경대로 살지 말고 믿음으로 살라. 염려되는 일이 있어도 염려에 빠지지는 말라. 염려에 빠지면 더 비관적인 생각이 든다. 그때 염려를 떨쳐버리고 이렇게 믿음의 고백을 하라. “집사님! 괜찮아요. 점점 좋아지고 있어요, 앞으로 더 좋아질 겁니다. 지금도 생각해보면 감사할 것이 얼마나 많은지 몰라요.” 그렇게 좋게 말해버리면 신비하게 영적인 파동이 변하면서 생각도 좋게 바뀌고 환경도 좋게 바뀐다. 2. 후포스타시스(υποστασις)  ‘후포스타시스(υποστασις)’란 ‘미래에 이뤄질 일을 예감하고 여는 힘’을 뜻한다. 믿음은 ‘실상과 증거’를 소유하게 함으로 한발 빠른 인생을 만든다(히 11:1-2). 한발 빠른 안목을 가진 사람이 크게 성공한다. 그의 성공을 보고 뒤늦게 많은 사람들이 따라가지만 뒤늦게 따라가는 사람에게는 성공의 문이 크게 좁아진다. 그러면 뒤따라가는 사람은 탄식한다. “저 사람은 저렇게 길이 잘 열려 성공하는데 왜 나는 이렇게 재수가 없을까?” 그러나 재수가
